No Sky HD Channels in scan

    No Sky HD Channels in scan

    Hi Guys
    I'm scanning on Astra 28.2E, and when the scan is complete, I don't seen to get any SKY HD Channels on the listing.
    Even though the D500s cannot display the Sky HD channels, I would have thought they were listed, just like BBC HD and ITV HD.
    Any ideas?

      No you wont scan any HD chammels with that box

          why would you want channels that you cant view in the scan.

              The reason a DM500s can get BBC HD, ITV1 HD and LuxeTV HD is that they are broadcast in DVB-S standard. All other Sky HD channels are broadcast using the DVB-S2 standard and the DM500s tuner isn't compatible.

                  In the case of BBC HD, ITV1 HD and Luxe TV HD, although they can't be viewed on the DM500s they can be streamed from it to a PC where they can be viewed...

                      Thanks guys, that clears things up. I'm about to get a VU+ for the HD channels and was a bit concerned that the skyHD stuff didn't show up after the scan on the 500s.
