cant find any transponder on DM500s

need help.
i have flashed my dm500s with gemini 420. plus installed ccam2.1.3.
i have connected my Sky uk dish with box, but cant get any channels.
when i try scanning 28.2e is says
0 transponders
0 tv services
0 data services.

whats am i doing wrong. do i have to install or add anything else. do i have to change any setting for my LNB..??

if your sky box was picking up something and you havent moved it, then check connection to dreambox again. if that doesnt work check dreambox on a mates dish. is it a new box or was it working somewhere before?

my normal sky box is working with that dish. iv just conneced the new dreambox up now after install and flashing all the programs. but cant pick up anything.. should the channels still scan even though iv just changed the boxs from sky pace to dreambox. or do i have to c hange some settings on the dreambox

never a great fan of gem image had problems and just went back to pli and worked first time .. think pli is a far better image

i have been using gemini for yeatr on a dm7020 and not ever had a problem, although my box is a genuine box and not a clone.
first i would try loading a new satellites.xml file on to your box then do another scan see if that helps.

once done ftp it over to VAR/ETC on your box and do a rescan.

ALL KNOWN TRANSPONDERS HAVE BEEN TRIED, BUT NO LOCK WAS POSSIBLE. VERIFY ANTENNA/CABLE-SETUP OR TRY ANOTHER SAT/NETWORK.

Iv got three lines on the botton
SNR thats 99%
AGC thats 99%
BER thats 0%.

then i got two boxes with LOCK and SYNC none r ticked.

try scanning the satellites either side of astra 28. maybe dreambox is picking up one of them. maybe dish needs slight adjustment

If you are using a mini-dish then just set the 500 on the single dish settings m8 then reboot. The next step is check out the pli image for the 500 its very stable.if again it fails last thing is check on another dish if possible.if all of the above fail the tuner is knackered but i doubt it..

BTW....you are using the in port and not the loop out port on the 500
