    magic eye

    hi guys i have a dm500s installed and directly behind i have a cable that goes all the way to my bedroom

    could i use this with a magic eye
    if so how would i change channel up stairs with a dreambox remote ?

    why not use a av sender,i used to have one when i had dbox,the box was upstairs and watched it and controlled it from downstairs

      the cost of an av sender isnt very cheap and i was hoping to make use of the existing cable

        Well the DM500s doesn't have an intergrated RF modulator, so to use it with your existing cable, you'd have to buy an external one, on top of that if you wan't to be able to change channel remotely from the TV in the bedroom you'd need to use one of THESE or an remote extender, or control the box via the web-if.

        Will be less hassle and as cheap to use an A/V sender in the long run

          do all av senders work the same mate or do the pricer ones work better?,thinking about getting one of these to use with my dm800s,do they also send hd pictures?

            mate wud this one do the job for my dm800s downstairs and tv upstairs
            SLx 5.8 Ghz Wireless AV Sender Free From Interference on eBay (end time 17-Nov-10 21:20:01 GMT)

              They can suffer from interference, the 2.4 GHz ones especially as thats the frequency that the majority of wireless devices operate on.

              The 5.8 GHz ones are much less prone to interference.

                brilliant, do they work ok with dm800 as was thinking dm800 runs buy dvi,wud i have to change to scart first then use sender upsatirs?

                  Connect it to the DM800s scart... Obviously the picture won't be output in HD though
