I've had my DM500s clone for about a year now and it has been pretty much trouble free using an old non-bomb Gemini image but a few days ago some channels started pixelating and freezing and then I lost some of them altogether. I managed to work out that I could no longer receive high band/horizontal polarisation channels. I checked the output voltage was switching ok so I put it down to the LNB and ordered a new one.
A couple of days ago, I lost all my channels and then the dreambox started failing on booting. Instead of the usual image background I got a black screen and intermittent bands of white squiggly lines before the box seemed to completely lock up. I reflashed my image using flashwizard and the box booted up ok but I could still receive no channels. The SNR was really low even though I had just fitted a shiny new LNB, which I checked was working ok by hooking up an old sky box.
After a couple of reboots, the box went back to the black screen/squiggly line state, locked up and now DCC won't communicate via the ethernet connection.
I'm now planning to reflash via the serial port using my old image or a different one, but has anyone else experienced this kind of problem and found a solution?
