I had a similar problem on a 500 with Pli.Kept using the same image on my desktop that i used several times but kept having problems.
A fresh downloaded flash solved the problem.

Could try that or a fresh Pli download.
I prefer Pli Jade 3 Maxvar for Dreambox 500.
Make sure you do a flash erase first.
I personally use Dreamup 1.3.3.4 with null and ethernet cable together.
            Hope you get sorted mate.

for the box to have a green light on in the morning then one of two things have to have happened..

                  1) Someone turned the box from standby to On and it tripped out

                  or

                  2) There was a power cut in the night and the box tripped out when the power came back on

it could be a dodgy box though.. check its not overheating when its in standby

Do you mean I need to leave the box on standby everynight when I finish watching? I leave the box on all the time.

if you are not watching it then turn it to standby..

it has to be in a minimum of standby for the 'features' to work
