the best place to buy a clone dreambox500

ok iv been running this dreambox500 for a few months which i got second hand.

iv been having a couple of problems sometimes i cant get it to movie the motor at all and other times it give me a lock on the sat even tho the dish hasnt moved.
and then like channels on cyfra+ il be getting them in the high 80s but they keep dropping down to the 60s and back up and wont come in. does any1 know wat would cause that?

anyway was thinking of buying a new clone500s. does any1 know where is best to get them? i get good quality 1 that will drive my tm 2600 motor ok? as i read lots have trouble moving the motor.
and have no other probs

have you tried a different image? might be the problem rather than the box itself.

Have you changed the settings after you bought it..? You need to make sure the right lat and long is in the box.. Are you using gotoX..??

I'd try a reflash.. Use an erase.img first then try the clone safe Gemini 4.2

Clone 500s suffer with non moving motors very common they are hit and miss get a DM518s work perfect on motors

no its defo not a image problem couse iv reflashed this box about 10times over the first few months i got it.

how come dm518 work prefect on motors y dnt every1 get them. r u sure? its not just been the ones u got where ok or do all work ok mate?

Dont ask me why everyone dont get them i prefer them they are just designed different as you can see in the pictures on that website, they run on dm500 images basicly the same just internals are diff and has a blue lan led on the front of the box

Dm518s is a slightly modded 500s clone, the power supply in internal on the 518s and it has a power switch.
The Dm500 V8 are also higher quality clones with apparently better tuners and improved sound output.These also have a power switch on the back.

there is a lot of info saying that the multi layer dm500s cone (4 layer \PCB as opposed to 2 layer) are the best - can it be taken for granted that the DM500 V8 model is multi layer ?
and what about the DM518 has it got a multi layer PCB inside ?
