    Problems using a scart adaptor

    Hi i have just received a dreambox dm500s today.

    I have completely set it up. but i can only connect it to the tv with the 3 connectors, if i put a scart adaptor on to them and plug in that way then there is no image.

    what could be causing this?

      Why cant you connect it using a normal scart lead plugged into the scart socket?

          There are different types of scart cables depending on their wiring connections. For example there are "input only", "output only" and "general" pinouts. Try the cable with other device to check if it is the one you can use here.

              iv had the same thing , i need to put the lg TV i have on
              the rite av before turning on the dreamox , id say try turning to power on the TV off, then power off the dm500, now turn the TV on and make sure its on the av that the dmbox is going to use , then power up the dreambox , now it`s Benn mostly fine. still happend time to time
