2 DM's, 2 rooms, best control option?

I realise this will have been asked before (what hasn't?) so am just looking for a quick answer, a line or two, if someone can help me.

I'm new to dreamboxes and ordered a DM500S to test the water, but before it even came I decided I wanted HD capability so ordered a DM800 as well. I am in the process of setting both up, getting there.

Anyway, my plan is to have one in the living room, DM800, and one in the bedroom. I have a satellite feed only to the living room and don't want to run another cable if I can help it. Both boxes will be ethernet'ed up.

I have UHF piped throughout house and see you can get SCART to UHF modulators, so one plan I had was to do away with the 500S, and use a smartphone for remote control over wifi but I'm sure there must be a better solution out there using the second box.

Is it possible to change channel on the main box by sending a signal from the client in my bedroom via ethernet?

You could connect to your box through the web and change the channel.

Thanks, thought smartphone would be the way to go, means the second DM box is wasted, unless at some point I run a cable.

Time to buy a Scart to UHF modulator then.
