Motorised setup

Hello Gents,
Can anyone help. I get 28.2e 19e and 5w all ok scanned etc. But i cant get anything in between???/
Is it a case of the setup of the dish is slightly out or am i a complete numpty????

Your dish is out of alignement m8. Make sure your pole is 100% plumb or it will miss parts of the arc

Thanks for the reply Bulldog.
The pole is bang on plumb both ways. I used 5w as my start off sat, getting 97% signal. I move it to 28.2e again get 96% signal, moved to 19.2e again strng signal, then try to find 16e and 13e etc and get sweet fa???????

Are your settings correct for lat and long. have you double checked them m8

Yes my lat is 52.994 and long -2.136
checked on a dish finder app on phone and on dishpointer.com both come up the same.
I have entered 2.000 west and 53.000 north on dreambox.
Ive used a compass app on my phone to find south and pointed my dish that way so i think thats ok, then told the box to go 5w and scanned there first. Just completely puzzled now.

use 1w as you initial sat mate.. enter your lat long exactly.. also have you set up the lat long properly on your motor and the angle of your dish correctly..??

maybe try turning the LNB in its holder, might make a difference.

dish angle is generally around 30 degs for motorised mate..

altering the skew on the LNB may bring in the signal a bit better once you lock it on..

If you can get a lock on BBC World News on 1W then you should be flying after that mate

Im no expert but shouldnt that be 0.52.994 Latitude and
Longitude 002.136

Ive mine like that and all is fine but if im wrong would welcome to be told im wrong,all trying to learn here.

I was about to give up when, and i dont know why i did it, but i altered my long to -4 instead of -2.996 and blow me down with a ~~~~ing feather it worked .
Does anyone know what has gone on here???????

A couple of months ago I messed up my dish alignment whilst changing from a single lnb to quad lnb. After messing about for hours I managed to get it re-aligned though not perfect and was having trouble with 16E. My longtitide -1.931 but with that I only get a signal of 71% whereas if I change it to -2.444 I get a good picture and a signal of 82%. It works so I have left the dish alone.

Hello Gents,
Well this is what i get with a 1.1m dish.
15w , 12.5w , 4.8e , 7e , 9e , 13e , 16e , 19.2e , 23.5e 28.2e. Should i be getting more than those???
