Vertical Transponder Problem

Hi guys need some help please got dm500 with pli jade image my problem is i cant get no vertical transponder channels i,ve tried box at parents house and can get v transponder channels there so box is ok i,ve changed coax cable still the same,could it be a problem with dish alignment or lnb as i have a sky+ box running off dish and thats working fine.I did notice that the snr was lower on vertical transponders any help would be aprreciated..thanks

if your missing all vertical channels and have the horizontal channels working fine it would seem your lnb needs to be changed .

Hi, you need to buy a new lnb or need to re-align your dish.

hi can anyone plzz help me got dreambox 500s put image evolution 2.7 on it just come to try watch somethinking and just blank sceen any help plzzzzzzzzzz

hi sammy i dont use that image myself (the menus can differ from image to image ) but i assume you have gone through the installation process which is choose tv type (pal ) language (english ) set the time and date ,diseqc settings are either simple or one single satellite (thats if you have a fixed dish ) if your dish is motorized you need to read up about usuals etc ,you then choose a satellite to scan (for sky its astra/eurobird 28 east ) and then do an automatic transponder scan .

if you have allready done the above and have no pictures look behind the box where the satellite cable is connected ,there are two connections one is lnb in the other is lnb out make sure the satellite cable is connected to the lnb in connection and ensure the cable itself has not worked loose from the f connector (the f connector screws onto the lnb in connection ) the last thing to check is that your scart cable hasnt worked loose on both the box and the tv .
