not scanning all channels on astra

    not scanning all channels on astra

    have a box up and running but im missing some of the channels like tiny pop and a few music channels

    have scanned a few times but not getting them probably not doing it right

    im running a jade pli image and ccam2.2.1

    thanks for any help with this

    Make sure its on a direct feed
    Remove all splitters and rescan

      you cant have splitters on a satbox ,only cable,might have to do it a few times,they the boxes with the kaky tuner?

            ya that must be the problem
            when the house was built the ran a cable from each room to the attic and ive a joiner on it to connect to the dish

              tut tut ,each sat box has to have its own feed,either through a diseqc switch or to a lnb on dish

                well it has its own feed iv 3 boxes on a quad lnb
                but i had to join the cable where they run down through the wall there all joined individually il scan it in me mothers then bring it back to mine

                    all connections good and secure,unless one of the lnbs is worn out,signal level good.

                        didn get a chance to get to the mothers yet will go later
                        there has been two other dreamboxes connected through the same line but they had been scanned in another house thats why i think they had all there channels
                        il no later anyway

                            tried the scan in the mothers with no luck
                            when ya do an automatic transponder scan
                            do ya select only free and no circ polariz or what im probably doing it wrong is all

                              No you leave both unticked unless you want FTA only, which I doubt. TBH if you are only missing a few channels maybe you a missing a particular transponder if you do not have an updated satellites.xml.

                              You can use Sgt Flip Flops bouquet as Mark said above, but as you are in Ireland it will be less the "home" channels, e.g. RTE, these can easily be added.

                              Or why not take the bouquet from one of your working boxes and FTP it over to this box?

                              Easiest thing would be to scan on the missing TP, Tiny Pop is on 11642 V SR 27500 FEC 2/3 on 28.2E. Try a manual scan and see if that pulls in your missing channels. Its FTA so will clear either way.
