Nabilosat cat flashing on and off on dm500s WTF?

my neighbour threw his DM500s at me the other day, Symptom= won't boot-just flashes Nabilosat black cat logo on and off!
My Dream up software wont recognise it and I can't get in to the ftp!

Is there a way to over-ride/write this software?

Anybody know what I can try?

Dreamup 1.3.3.4 with null modem and ethernet cable mate.

Do a flash erase and download fresh image,you will need to set up his network and download ccams,bouquets again though.

I have tried my Dreamup 1.3.3.2 but it wasn't reading the box! I have looked all over for a v 1.3.3.4 update but can't find one... can you point me in the right direction?

I have found and installed a version 1.3.3.6, but when I put the box on all I get is;
22:06:59 box type: DM500 ...and that's it!
i can access the box via ftp, could I do anything in there maybe?
