no scanning menu

Hi guys my brothers dm500 has all of a sudden messed up
(i think he's been fiddling with it) so i decided to reflash it
now it seems theres no option within the image to scan i have copied over a working service and bouquet file but nothing is happening its been a while since i had a dm500 am i missing something or has the tuner gone

its a sat mate but surely even with no sats.xml it still shouls have scanning features in the menu and theres nothing ?

tried 2 images now and both the same
its funny but when he was on the phone to me he said when he pressed the ok button to see the channel list the green bar was blank it normally says satellites

and thats the same with the 2 images i've installed

its a real strange one think i will flash it from the wifes laptop i'm thinking somehow my setting on this laptop are all geared up for a dm800hd although i did change all setting but may be a bug could you advise on what dreamup version to use with a dm500 it maybe that to

DreamUP 1.3.2.1 will be fine for the DM500

just reflashed gemini image and gues what its still the same no scan settings

have you tried a different gemini image.. the one you keep flashing may be corrupted..

try re-downloading Gemini 4.2 from here and flash an erase image first
