Hello

I am new to dreambox etc and have just flashed my DB500-S with the Evolution 2.5 image. It is now useless. Just comes up with a flash screen at the start and then goes blank. I can't even get on the menu and the remote doesn't work. Did not back the original up (doh).

any help will be appreciated

You need to use null modem cable, and try a different immage, I have two 500s and I have tried to flash a nabilo image on both, and for some reason i dont seem to have any success, then i give up and just flash with pli jade. No problems.

sometimes you can get a faulty or corrupt image (its no reflection on the image ) you will need to get the same image from another source or use another image and reflash the box using a null modem cable. also i recommend that before you reflash you perform a flash erase ,when you open dreamup 1.3.2.1 on the right of screen you will see flash and just above it you will see flash erase (click on that it only takes a few seconds) then flash the box as normal.
