dm500v8 what tuner please help

hi all.
got a dm500v8s and need to flash a bootloader over to it as pulled power off accidently hile flashing jade over to it, made the jtag up and got the bootloader into it but now reports it as a dm56xx, had a look in info on mates box but just says satellite frontend so what tuner have i got please as i believe thats my problem with it, how do you tell if its a alps or phillips and ho do you know that its a bootloader for the dm500sv8 please.
took me 20mins to get jtag to work so trying to do it first time if possible as no green light on it, tried loadsa images and wont boot up with green light.

your unlucky there m8 ,, l have 4 of these and flasher loads over the years , had a few bad flashes but always got them back with dreamup ..

normally send flash with box off and turn on from the back within a few seconds , l always use internet and serial cable and flash through Ethernet cable ,

never had to jtag so cant help u there

dreamup goes all thru sequence but still no joy when done, tried another box pli jade went in no probs and grafts. i use the norm null modem cable its all down to it saying its a dm56xx at first boot that knocks it too hell

You have an alps tuner the same as mine.
Could be wrong bootloader.?

Just had a look inside my dm500s V8 . It looks like the tuner is not an alps tuner but infact a cheap Chinese one with the alps sticker on it , it is also the cheapest 2 layer pcb with all the low spec components on the motherboard.
At the moment it works great and is set up to drive my disqec motor.
So have a read here and you can see for yourself.
I wonder how long this one will last ?

Had this box about a month and I have got to say it might be a cheap clone but it seems to be rock solid at the moment here's hoping it stays that way.
