    BT homehub nas and 500s

As most of you know, im right ~~~~ing stupid, and as a result of this, i'm having probs using my homehub as a nas.
I stick a usb drive in the back of the hub, and from pc and lappy, i can access the usb, and read/write to it..
all good, but for the life of me i cannot get it to mount on the dm.
ive got the ip address, there is no user name and password,, is there anything i need to be putting in client/server directory?
tell you what would be ace? a little step by step idiots guide to setting this ~~~~er up
