I uploaded Gimini 4.7 to my clone 500s and it crashed to the degree that my computer can't read the DM nor does my TV... Please HELP what should I do? How can I upload the right image? THanks in advance. I'm trying to get asiasat 3s keys and cam's too.

if you want to use the 4.7 image it has to be bomb free.

to get it back working you will need an appropriate image which is clone safe check my posts there some in there.

you will need a serial to usb adapter if you have a laptop (make sure its compatabile with your operating system) or a null modem cable if you have a desktop with serial port.

then you will need to use a progam called Dream up.

if you can still get a ip from your dreambox use flashwizard pro 6.3 and load a new clone image.

Use DreamUp with Serial cable(Null modem cable) connected directly to your DM. You should be able to load another image.

DB500s-clone-Gimini 4.7

Thanks for all your posts and replies. So far I realize that DB500s clone killed. Gemini 4.7 completely blocked my machine from communicating. I got a Null modem Rs232 cable and connected the device. REPLY
"USB Device not recognized".
Tried everything from Dreamup 3.3.3 and Dreamuplan, no luck.
The thing is there's no communication between DB and the PC. ---
When I plug in it says-Unknown Device.

Should I try JTAG? Seems complex. Or is JTAG possible through USB?

u may need the software driver for the serial null modem,do you have desktop or laptop?

You used gemini with clone killer code , your only option now is jtag. You cannot flash a new image using a serial null modem and dreamup, the clone killer has over written the bootloader on the box. Restore the bootloader by jtag, then you can use a serial cable.again and flash a clone safe image, avoid gemini altogether, they are crap images anyway, use open pli or nabilo.

Boot file alfa

Thank you all for advice and help. So far got to JTAG got to the boot loader... found out that it's an Alfa type. But can't get any original valid boot files to restore too. Where can I find an alfa 500s clone boot file? Thanks again.
