Is there anyway to copy the boot image of the dm500s V8.
I am certain the one I have is a cheap Chinese clone with a fake alps tuner
according to what I have read ,therefore the boot loader software for the alps tuner would not work if the box goes down.

not very little about them but can ya not backup the image from the box with dreamup
and save it on computer

i also have one of these boxes and flashed it with jade pli image
never bothered about the one already on it
and it works fine
