problems with tv channels

hi there can anyone help me please, my mate cant get a lot of his channels the signal quality drops even fta channels like bbc scotland or ch5 he has s*y sports 2 but not the rest his box is a dreambox 500s and has niablo darkstar 2 exclusive on it with CCcam 2.1 i'm stuck because my box is working fine down in my living room ,thanks

check all cabling and see if his dish is aligned correctly. My m8 couldnt get some discovery channels and if he did they were pixellated. I put a 60cm zone 2 raven dish up for him and it improved the snr on nearly of the channels on his 500s by about 20%

thanks for reply my signal is fine i can get some bbc england channels with 94% and s*y sports2 with the same but most other channels the signal goes down to 59%

a bit confused.
are you trying your m8's box at your house and still having issues with missing channels??
have you tried your box at your m8's house to see if your box will recieve all the channels there?

yes tried at his house he had same problem thats why i took it i re flashed it with the niablo image on so its the same as i have in my box im stumped with it ,thanks for geeting back

i would try another image as nabilo is only one that has given me probs on 500

thanks for getting back i have tryed different images ,do you think a factory reset of the box would do any good .i think it might be the tuner
