DM500S Ccam setup

Hi,

Complete newbie here, but I do have linux skills luckily!
My question is this, my friend has got a cloned dm500s box and all setup and running.
Now I want to set up my own box at my house.
Can I connect to his box or the same server as his to view the same channels?
also, what is the best image for a D500S?

its down to personal preference but i like openpli on the dm500.

I would agree with MTV1 very easy to use pli jade.

For DB500 in my opinion the best image is Nabilosat. Fast and stable
