    Fitting fan to Dreambox 500S

    Has anybody tried/done this?Have a pc fan with AC/DC adapter ready, whats the best way of putting this on/near Dreambox to get it too cool down.

    have you got the vents blocked..?? or is it on top of another machine..? it shouldn't get that hot.. that was a problem with early clones (2 years ago)

    its generally easier to place it on a laptop cooler and power it off something with a usb port like a DVD player etc

      No mate, just heard that they can get very warm and sky card can burn out, so dont want that happening. I have an AC/DC adaptor and a fan from a pc, so would like to wire that and use that if/when the dreambox heats up.

          My sat gear is in a unit so I fiited a 3" computer fan in the back with a 3" outlet, using a small 12v power adapter which keeps all my gear cool

          Try it, it works

            Ye thats what I want to do, have you got that fan connected onto Dreambox500S directly or just at the back of the unit?
