username and password

I have bought a DB and i couldnt use dcc because the username and password are not default, so are changed.

Can abybody help me how i can find username and password???

try reflash the box that should revert to factory default

to get the original root password back (dreambox)

download and install TuxBox Commander - this will allow you to modify the files on the Dreambox

go into /etc and look for a file called passwd-

rename the current password file to passwd_ and then rename passwd- back to passwd

now you can login with username root and password as dreambox

i have the same problem but i cant download tuxbox commander because when i turn on the box it freezes at the Gemini screen. i flashed with pli image and i can ftp. i need my files from the old image

If you have already reflashed a new image on to it mate, your files will be gone.
