Anyone know why my clone dreambox may freeze and require a reflash. I only got it 2 weeks ago and put pli on it and tonight it has frozen for the second time in two weeks and just gives me a black screen when i reboot it. Sould i use a different image or any other ideas? Cheers....

Sounds like your gonna reflash ?, if you are do a flash erase before hand, do it twice if ya like, to be sure, and then flash.

i did a flash erase but didnt do it twice... Got the image from here and the pli site, will see how it goes this time and if it happens again may have to use a different image next time, cheers...Comment

guys have put on pli image, dk image and nablo image and they are all freezing on me after a period of time, any suggestions why or have i just got a dude box?

yip agreed but before you do
1. check connections to box coax lnb if you have multi-tap lnb try a different one .
2. have you a mobile land line near the box or coax lead to box can play havoc with cheap coax .
3. no splitters on the line you cannot split sat cable . has to have its own connection to lnb

Great point one of the most common probs is a badly crimped f connector so check your cables.yip agreed but before you do

It happens on the FTA channels.i have not even tried my sly card in it as it freezes alot so aint gotten around to putting it in. i have down loaded a new pli image and it froze on that. Sometimes it wont even go past the green pli page and so i have to reflash it. There are no splits on the cable. The f connectors are crimp on connectors and are well crimped, crimp them all the time and never any probs with them. The coax is good rg6 but there is a phone line beside the tv. Was onto ukdreamshop where i bought it and described whats happening and they have said they will replace it for me.So hopefully the next one will be better....Comment
