Help with flashing...CRC Error every time !

    hi guys.

my mate brought me the a DM500s today saying that it doesnt come up. so we decided to flash it.

ive read the stickies and decided to go with DK image from here - didnt work. gave me the Error, CRC32...

so tried to erase the memory next with the erase.img file - same thing happened.

also tried different images, including original FW - same thing.

i was using dreamup - newest, oldest, something inbetween and that patched for dm500 version too - NOTHING

has anyone got any thoughts on that ?

tried few more times and with flas-erase first - it erased without any problems. but after flashing with original firmware it gave me the error, flash-copy failed (rc=some digits), box will be unusable now.

dont know what else to try...

Try a different image like Pli Jade 3 Maxvaar.
Do a flash erase with null modem and ethernet together.
Try it with Windows Xp and on a desktop not a laptop.
          Use Dreamup 1.3.3.4.

I had the same problem, I did it:

                              1 - Start dreamup 1.3.1.0
                              2 - erase flash
                              3- insert the image erase
4 - insert the image PLI New @ MLC jade3 New Skin Adrenalin3 with picon and CCcam2.2.1 by Marwen

                              Done.
