HI IVE JUST GOT A DREAM BOX NOT A CLONE IT HAD 6 MONTHS SEVER LEFT ON IT I GOT IT HOME SCAND MY SATALITE WAT GAVE ME A NEW LIST OF PROGRAMS ONLEY ABLE TO GET THE FREE ONES IVE TRYD USEING A ETHERNET CABLE FROM THE DM BOX TO MY LAPTOP WATS USEING A 3G DONGLE SET MY IP ADDRES UP ON DREAM BOX BUT ITS STILL SAYING OF LINE DO I NEED A PROGRAME TO CONTET MY DREAM BOX?ANY HELP WILL BE VERY MUCH A PECALATED

A few of things spring to mind.
1) Almost certainly a clone. Dream multimedia haven't made a DM500S in donkeys years.
2) Typing in upper case all the time is considered shouting, don't shout, it won't make anyone asnwer any faster.
3) When you say you have connected your dreambox to your laptop, and assigned it an IP, have you tried pinging anything form your dreambox to make sure it is connected to the internet? From the # prompt type
ping -c1 www.yahoo.com
and paste back the result. Maybe then we'll have more ideaMy master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far

The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.Comment

not realy getting what your saying M8, are you trying to get your DM to connect to the internet via you PC which is connected to the internet via dongle? If so have you setup routes in you PC to achive this?Comment
