DB800 will not connect to network with dcc

I am trying to setup a DB 800HD. I have the FTA channels but when I try to connect DCC to the dreambox I get error saying send cable not connected. I have tested network connection on the drerambox using remote and says it is working OK.In DCC it shows pc connected to router but not to dreambox eventhough it looks like it has detected the IP address for the DB. Any ideas as to where I am gone wrong.

are you setting a static IP or dhcp ? are you able to telnet using the same IP that DCC has for the DM?

look at the IP range the router gives out. say 192.168.1.104 etc and goto network settings and assign it and remove the dhcp option and save network.

Once you done that either type that ip in to browser abd bring up the WebIF

or go in to cmd and type telnet 192.168.1.104 or what ever the ip is and test if it connects.

If all well enter that ip in to the dcc and click reconnect.

Also for safety when in telnet once you have logged in to the box

type passwd and enter a new password, dont worry about it not showing txt it is still typing and will ask you to confirm.

Remember to change the password box in dcc to the new password for when you login.
