I have a new DB800 HD clone which replaced DB500s running with Gemini 5.1 enigma 2 loaded and I have all the FTA channels working. I cannot get option to install the CCcam file into the dreambox so that I can set up my cline.I have tried numerous options from the forums by copying CCcam.cfg (also.Zip) file to different locations but I think I still need to actually do an install to get the files loaded. No matter what I do I cannot get the option on the remote control with blue button to do an Install. I get options to delete copy etc. I can access the dreambox with DCC.
DM800 cannot get to install CCcam files

I have been through all these and I dont seem to get anywhere. When I go to to settings, addons using blue button there are options to install from Gemini server and install from my server thesystem has a dwonload on screen and box resets but does not seem to have actaully downlaoding anything. Do I need to setup the location where these servers are located or if they have downloaded where would they be stored ?Comment

Homer, I ahve been trying to FTP iamge but looks like I will need to transfer each file and put them in their correct location manually. This looks to be the easy part but then to get cccam to load automatically seems to be the troulbe as I cannot seem to find anywhere the test strings that I need to enter using Telnet.Comment

Do a bit more reading up mate or you may end up with a bricked receiver. You dont FTP the image you install it via web-browser or via dream up and serial cable, though with an 800 the second method will take ages.
When you have your image instaled search for a CCcam ipk package on the net for your particular image. Download it to your pc then FTP it to the tmp folder on your box. Use your remote to navigate to thel addons manager (different procedure for different images) green then yellow with black hole images and select manual install Ipk packages. It will install the cam and restart enigma.
Then you FTP your cccam.cfg file in the etc folder with E2 images. Resart the cam and your done.Comment

I did all that reading various sites using Gemini. I tired copying all the individual files to their correct destination using DCS , Manually FPT various versions of the CCcam files to tmp folder and got no where until I changed my flash Image and had system working in about one hour. I was impressed with the Gemini image from a user view point for FTA channels but on my experience this week that is the only good thing I can say but that is just my experience with Gemini on one installation.Comment

I've attached the Enigma2 CCcam 2.1.4. All you need to do is FTP it to the tmp folder. Then go to File Manager on your remote and install it from there.
Hope this helps people out in future.Attached FilesComment

Okeee, "addon installed successfully", but that was just the binary? What now?
Gemini probably needs the standard start-stop script somewhere, it also needs to have the cccam registered somewhere as being installed so that it can offer it in the list of cams - all that I get on the Blue panel in the "Select cam" is the CI...
