    Not Booting Up.

    Hi gents.

I was following the instructions from this thread:

I got to the last part and it said E2 must be restarted for the changes to take effect.

I pressed OK and it froze and now when I try to turn the box on it doesn't load up.

It just says Dream Multimedia booting and the loading bar gets half way and that's it. Also the red light above the power button is just continuously flashing.

Now, I'm guessing I will need to flash the box which I have never done before and will be a pain in the ass for me.

If anyone knows anything else I can try please let me know.

    Cheers.

I thought flashing was hard too until i read a thread on how to do with via the web interface and wouldnt believe how easy it was!

Plug plug the power cord from the box and wait about 30 seconds
Then plug it back in whist holding the power button. Let go when stop appears on the display. It'll also give you a Ip address
Enter the ip address into your web browser and press firmware upgrade
Load your image (.nfi file) and press finish
It'll then load the image onto your box. It might appear that nothings happening but the image is being uploaded

This is just plain annoying now. I downloaded what I thought was the correct image I needed. As I have a clone I thought I downloaded a patched image which included the bootloader but it turns out it didnt.

So now all I get is NO CA FOUND and the worst thing about it all is that I do not have any serial ports on my laptop. So I guess I need to find someone with a PC with a serial port and a null modem cable.

      Long.

cris I am having the same problem with the hdd, but flashing it wont sort the problem anyway. I reflashed mine (btw i would always run the ssl76 over it in a second browser before you reboot mate) and it will not bootup with the hdd connected. So I am going to reformat, it will boot if i take the hdd out.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?
