    DM800 HDD teething

Ok so ive been trying for about 5 days now, to format initialize and mount my drive and make it recordable. However whatever i do, the HDD seems to not work with my DM800, constantly receiving 'Mount Failed' and 'mkfs failed'. Now im sure its the image and not the hard drive, i am using the dream elite 1.0 HD PRZ edition. Now i quite like this image, but if there is a better/newer image that anybody could recommend, i would really appreciate it. Im sure this is quite a common subject, but i cant seem to find the answers i need.

    Thanks a lot

If its a sim201 you could try the DreamEliteBH-133dv3PHOENIX sim201-SSL76C image.

I finally got it to work after days of headaches. What i did was format my drive to EX3

Then connected the drive to the dreambox and then mounted it. (Blue button drive, Device Manager, Red Button, chose /media/hdd and then ok)
Your DM800 will now restart to save changes. You'll notice that you'll be able to pause but not record
Ftp into your box and create folder called movie in the /media/hdd path. so it looks like /media.hdd/movie
            Then it should record fine
