Have you got your recording paths setup right to media/hdd
try and ftp a recording to your pc and use vlc player see if it works on you pc.

          yes that's right media/hdd/movie
when you go into media player option and select it and press ok or green to play it does take a few seconds before it plays, also check the hdd is still mounted in device manager.
what image do you have on.

I'm on a ramimaher image, I think it's based on Gemini? When I got to mediaplayer i just get a black screen, I can't fastforward or rewind. Also timeshift just gives a black screen too?? I have no idea what the problem is? Also U have cross EPG downloaded, I download the EPG and can see the files in my HDD but the EPG is still now and next when o try look through it. Strange stuff!

tried that image, it was worse, couldnt mount the drive at all, thats why i tried the image im on now. Also tried dream elite 1.0 HD PRZ edition, couldnt mount in that either!! Openbox S9 was so much easier :P Maybe i will try again on phoenix. Is there any other good images, and yeah i am sim 2.01.

Yeah I've managed to sort it now, I did it by adding a line that I saw on this website to the bootup script. I've pretty much completely sorted it, I just need to know how to record, normally on other images you press red button and you get some recording options, but red button isn't assigned on mine, just wondering how I can do this? Thanks Steph
