DM800HD PRO Version should be better.

        - Rev M tuner for glitch free HD channels.
        - Fan mod so when box is in standby Fan Switches off.

Pro, just sent back a 800hd ferarri sim due to overheating and ordered a 800hd pro rev M 801A tuner, bl76d, sim 2.01, internal fan and doesn't need to be plugged out for internal hard drive.

the 800hd I just had didn't even have a internal hard drive causing overheating with a internal hard drive. the hard drive I have is a samsung spinpoint which doesn't let off much heat, think the overheating was more to do with the tuner as it got roasting.

Was the over heating causing any problems such as rebooting?

Would the signal cut for a split second or for long duration until the box had cooled?

If I was getting a new box would go for the pro as most people seem really pleased with them.

would cut off but not for long but still not worth putting up with . Got told I could use a caddy for my hard drive on the outside but the end of the day if it has a place internally for a hard drive then it should be able to be used.

yeah pro does sound ike it is the way to go mate.

Yes I have had problems with my box from same place, I thought the cutting out was to do with dvi port not being built very well. Managed to fix it but as you say not worth putting up with. A lot of people rave about UK dreamshop so thats where I would probably point someone if the want a clone.

yeah has been sent back mate and refunded and I have ordered a Pro from china a suppier I have been using for 500s worked out at about ?124 including delivery so nice price also. All the 500s I have ordered have been excellent quality (10 in total) so I think the 800 from them will also be great quality.

                            I think I have a standard dm800 go tin march 2010. Ends up having a J tuner.

Want to add a rev M tuner but can I put it in this box?

The mainboard is labeled KMAX S8000 V1.0 can I ask what the version on the pro dm800 is? VErsion is printed where you see the 14 unused pins might carry on under the esata connector.

Should I get a M tuner for my box, or is it better to buy a pro box if it has different components?
