strange tuning problem dm800 clone

Hi everyone.

I just got a new dm800 clone from Tony it's my first dreambox and im having problems setting up the tuning.

First, if i go into satfinder, it show's zero% on everything, now
if i press the right or left directional key on the remote from the manual transponder to the predefined both the SNR goes to 100% and the AGC goes to 96% also if i now put it back to manual transponder SNR goes to 90% and AGC 96%.
it's almost as if the transponder is in shutdown mode until ? change the setting

Both my automatic scan and the manual one turn up 0 services found.

Also the box came with a gemini image i think and now i flashed it with blackhole and in both cases it says starting enigma 2 on the screen and it doesnt go away

Any ideas?

Hi you need to get a lock on a sat before you can scan, are you motorized ot static?

i was using freesat humax pvr but am changing to dreambox. just check the connection with the humax box and it is good

i am running a scan now it says:

Astra 2/Eurobird 1 (28.2E)
DVB-S QPSK 11260V / 27500 2/3

scan in progress 25% done! 0 services found
it's like the setting for the transponder just goes away as i exit satfinder..

the first time i did a scan 2 day's and 3 images ago it went ok
and it got loads of channels in the list .. but now it's just doesnt work

Sounds like faulty tuner, i seen many times it will scan fast to 100% and 0 channels found 0 services

I just did my install yesterday, not yet complete as I ran out of time but I had something similar in that no matter what I did I couldn't get any signal at all.

In the end I changed the tuner setup to simple and then made sure I pressed the green button to save, going back into satfinder after doing this showed signal but I'll be honest after around 10 minutes of getting nothing, then making sure that the cabing was 100% I was just clicking around the menus like a madman

I have also just received a box from Tony and having issues with the signal etc

I have a clone dm800 and struggled at start to get a signal at all from satelite..then followed a few setting guides and had 99% signal..so i went to auto scan for channels and its only upto 17% and has no service as of yet and has been on about 15 mins.


Is this normal? i am on 28.2e for sky uk

How long should it take and when should i expect to get any services percentage wise!

Just dont want to wait for scan to finish when i should have had some services by now i would have hoped.
