    DM800s Tuner Mods

I recently bought a few DM800s units to play and learn with and have found that one of the 3 units I purchased will not tune in HD channels. (SD channels are OK)

The problem unit sounds like it will be a faulty tuner however I wanted to ask in this forum if there is a standard known mod for K revision tuner boards I could use rather than trying to send it back to where I bought it from overseas.

I noticed something like this has been posted for J and K revision tuners previously however it would be great to know when the mod is required and if there are different options to go for.

Any feedback will be much appreciated.

i had an 800 with rev k tuner , and coulnt pick up any dvbs2 signal , soldered a capacitor to it , and fixed the no signal issue , however you aint never gonna get a rev k to be glitch free . latest tuner is a pro tuner (rev m) and zero glitch and improved signal levels.

just searched my pc for revk.jpg fix , but if you search google for , dm800 + revk + tuner fix , you probably come across pics and instructions mate

I just bought a rev M tuner from Tony, my old rev K was crap so replaced it with a Genuine tuner, when I bought a couple of the new DM800 pro's I noticed the signal was better with the rev M than my genuine. haha

Thanks - I have seen the mod for the K version tuner.

Interesting to here about how the M revision tuners are better.

As I have recently bought my DM800s and now that I have found that they have K revision tuners it is a bit of a disappointment for me.

I suppose I could always find some M revision tuners in the future... they seem simple enough to change
