How to stop recording?

Hi i am using Dream Elite Blackhole Pheonix edition. I have recorded something and now that it is on and I am in there is no need to record it. I cannot find how to stop the recording. Any help would be really appreciated.

pretty sure if a recording is in progress and you need to cancel you press red , then a dialogue box come`s up , the first one is cancel/stop the current recording,
if a recording is in progress , my box displays the "red power light" blinking

if you have a recording set for a future programme , then surely its cancellable in your epg menu ?

I normally press the video button which brings up a dialog to ask if you want to stop the current recording.

1-add recording(stop after current event)
2-add recording(indefinitely)
3-add recording(enter recording duration)
4-add recording(enter recording endtime)
5-dont record

after trying all these options it still does not stop recording.

Is there a simpler method i could use?

Your options above look like your not recording but going to add a recording.

Since I added thetimeshift plugin I just remove or add or remove via timer

I have done it this way for all interested.

Menu, Timer, Delete current recording.

Easier way i think.

If the recording was initiated after the event has started then RED button will stop it. But if the recording was pre-set the only way to stop it is by the method on the post above this one.

Does this actually delete the record or just stop the recording? I recorded a 2hr movie which had finished and it was still recording adverts after the film, when it gave me the option to delete recording I just left it to record as I didn't want to delete the movie I just wanted to cancel the recording.

i would think just stop,as the box should ask you if you wish to delete item first.

I just tested it and it deleted the file, no option to just stop recording.
