    recording to PC

    Hi guys

    i have a DM800 with image black hole phoenix and i am tryng to record to a PC but i having trouble setting it up.

    I have followed the sticky but my problem is:

    IP: <ip.address.of.pc> DONE
    Select CIFS form the pulldown menu on the right hand side DONE
    Dir: <name of shared folder on pc><press yellow for capital letters> DONE
    LocalDir: /hdd/movie DONE
    Options: rw,soft,udp,nolock DONE
    Extra: nolock,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 Dont have this option
    User: <account on pc>
    Password: <password on account, if no password leave blank> DONE
    Select Automount Dont have this option
    Select Mount

    I have read i can do it via the Web browser but again i do not have the option when i log into my DM.

    When attempting to record i get the error on the DM " NO HDD found or HDD not initialized" but the HDD mounts successfully

    When i it set up successfully am i able to pause and rewind live TV?

    Any ideas guys?

      These settings worked for me using the same image, if the mount is sucsessful you then need to set the recording paths to use that.

      Timeshift works perfectly once you have it all setup.

          Hi guys im still having problems regarding the attached, i just cant seem to get it to work.

          I have now got an external hard drive on my PC ( e drive ) and i am trying to use this drive to record to but unsure what setting to put in when mounting.

          also do i have to change recording paths in both my Dreambox and PC?
