just a couple of dm800 ?'s please

i have just had a new box. has the latest gemini image, cccam 2.1 etc.

i have plugged in and all working. lines - working.

just a couple of questions, some channels the picture is like in a square and not filling the whole screen. how and where do i change it ?

i have sgt fliflops bouqet saved - i want to do a search and then edit the channels list myself. - where is the list saved?

~If you go to Menu,then Settings,then AV settings and scroll down to 4:3 and change to just scale and same for 16:9 then save this will scale the picture up to the screen res, as for the sgtflipflops bouquet if you use dreamboxedit then select E2 settings then dump file from box, you can then edit to suit your needs in dreambox edit.

so i can just search the sat, and use dreamboxedit to dump the channels list. then edit as i choose? is that right yeah?

where does it dump, do you get to choose path for the dump?

Do you have the bouquet saved to the box or pc?
If pc then open Dreamboxedit (DBE) and point it to the location of the bouquet file, then open it and you will then get the full listing up in DBE you can then edit accordingly, then save once done, you are then ready to transfer it to the box,
If you receive files from dreambox (Click FTP tab) it will ask you for the path to save too,create this location and away you go, in the OPTIONS tab of DBE you need to enter the ip of the dm800 and what settings ie E2 settings etc, then your just about ready,this guide by sgtflipflop prob explains it better than i !!

i dont have the cahnnels blist saved, that's what i am trying to do.

i want to know how to get the channels list from the search so i can use DBE to edit as required.

i've seen the guide and its how i managed to get his list acrooss.

i thought it saves a file like other receivers so i can transfer the file from box and open it in DBE.

Ok so as you have it on the box, open DBE go to options, select E2 settings, then enter the ip etc of the dm800, then go to the FTP tab,and you will see the options to receive files from dreambox tick that box, enter a save path,and then you should be away, once it has saved the list from the dream you can then open it in DBE and edit accordingly, or even download a new version of SGTFF file from the forum, edit in DBE then upload the Newly edited version to your box instead.,

is it the homeplug option or these wifi bridge adaptors.

bridge is cheaper, but if you can move your router closer to tv, use ethernet cable, then only a quid or 2

nice1 for all the help boys.

i got a new prob. i was trying to install the cross epg...and it kinda messed up the box now.

used to get the gree screen and reboot. then it decided to get stuck on the green scree so i unplugged it since then it does not boot up. just says booting on the dm screen just under halfway on the little bar.........................and stuck.

it has an ip address and i can connect using flash.

web browser says diagnose connection problem - though it has thed sign on the address bar.

i have read as much as is possible and can't find a fix for this.

was working well till the crosssepg installation.

i have got a 9 pin b oth sides cable which i thought would be the null cable but i only have a dvi, ethernet and usb connection on my pc and laptop.

i'm well ffffffd off now.


and after that essay.........any ideas???

oh...and i tried telnet as well (putty)....but only get to put in username but dosent ask for password so can't connect that way either

Use dream up and a 232 cable for best results
If you aint got 232 on your PC
Take it to a mates and do it there

cheers....i've tried a few pc's and none with 232 cable ........i'm going in search tomorrow to everyones house.
