Hi to all,

I am new to the Dreambox scene and I have just put SGTflipflop channel list on my receiver but how do I get the EPG working, do I have to download an EPG or can I go into the DM settings and add one.
any help appreciated

What model dreambox (edit, just seen it's a DM800) and what image are you using on it?

You can download the Rytec EPG plugin. It downloads EPG data from the net. I use it with OpenPLI and it displays the Now & Next EPG data fine.

Can I download it on the Dreambox itself or do I have to download to computer and the FTP to box

I downloaded it from PLi addon server so in my case I was able to download it direct from the box. You can also do it manually. The website is Rytec.be - Xmltv import plugin - dreambox enigma1 & enigma2 epg settings. They have instructions on installing.

I'm using a different image, NewNigma2 3.2 and after trying a few found that CrossEPG works just fine. The problems with the others could well be me knowing not how to set it up but CrossEPG for me was the easiest and it works.
