    Theres motorised set-up guides in the red 'stickies' at the top of this (sat dreambox) and the general satellite forum...

      I am also trying to set-up a motorised dish for the Dreambox, I used to have a Technomate receiver working well with my motor picking up all the satellites.

      I have now got a DM800 HD box but when I come to set it up for the motor I lose my channels on 28.2, I have followed the guide to no avail.

      Currently with just 28.2 installed I am getting 100% signal strength when I revert back to just one satellite in the simple configuration mode, can anyone tell me if this will work;

      1 Go into Setup and Select Start Wizard
      2 Use Wizard to set up Basic Features/ hit OK
      3 Configuration Mode/ toggle the left and right buttons until Simple appears
      4 Mode/ toggle this until is shows Positioner
      5 Put in you Longitude
      6 Put in you Latitude and then exit the Wizard
      If I do this will I lose all on 28.2

          I have set it up as you said and I have added the 19.2 sat.
          I then added a channel list with a satfile.xml file.
          Then I go to open a channel, say on Sly Germany and it will not open, I have between 90 and 100% signal, I just get an error.
          Tune failed or (no SID in PAT)

            Could be your channel list is out of date. Use the blue button to download a new settings list, or manually scan 19.2 for the chans.

              I have manually scanned 19.2 but for some reason I dont pick-up the likes of Sly Germany, I only pick-up channels that I can receive on 28 degrees but they do open.

                If you're picking up channels from 28.2 when you scan 19.2, then your dish isn't correctly aligned. Some transponders are the same on different sats, so if your dish is badly aligned then you'll pick up channels on those TPs when you think your pointing at a different sat.
