    DM800

Hi I'm pretty new to satellite stuff and have a dm800 with gemini 5.1 (sim201 BL 76 - whatever that means!).
I would like to know if my problem is common or sortable:
If i connect a cable from the dreambox out connection to my tv with built in sat tuner, i can no longer control the motor on my dish. I have also tried with a T connector to split off before the dreambox - same problem.
Am i trying to do something that's not possible?

thanks, but this is a new tuner (M) and it does control the dish when the cable is not "forwarded" to another receiver. It's only when i connect the tuners out port to another tuner or split the feed coming in to another tuner that the dreambox stops controlling the dish. my only recovery is to disconnect the other cable (or remove the splitter) and reboot the box.

this may be something which is normal, i would just like to understand if that's the case or not?

im pretty sure it is because of the voltage splitting the connection is never a good thing when sat is involved. i know the rule is u need a cable from the lnb to every tuner so hope this helps

i believe u can buy a diseq switch to solve ur problem tho

dm800s dont like loopthrough it cant take the 2 voltages , your best bet would be to have a cable from sat out TV straight to the dish, also why would you want to have both on the same TV, doesnt make sense.

thanks for replies - clears it up.
Reason for wanting... i could record one 28.2 channel on DM while watching another (freesat) on TV tuner.

              cheers
