Streaming from Dreambox to PS3 or WDTV Live

    Morning guys.

Has anyone managed to run LIVE streams from a DM800HD to either a PS3 or WDTV Live. I can get the WDTV to see recordings no problem.

There is a thread over on a WDTV forum here

    Code:
    http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=320
Just want to know if anyone has had it running, if so, how?

Remember this is a question about live feeds from the Dreambox, not recordings or movies (i want to watch football downstairs from my dreambox that is upstairs and short of running a DVi-HDMI + Audio i'd rather do it over my home network)

    Thanks for any info/help

Thanks for the reply. I have thought about that but before I would do that I'd run a dvi-hdmi from pc in kitchen to tv in front room along with an optical for sound. As all media streamers are in place I think it ahould be possable

yeah would defo be possible if u could get the length of vcables required, it is alot of setup to stream it with wdtv live and imho not as reliable as a hard wired cable but i would be interested if u could get it working

Hi check the limitations of hdmi cable length you can buy hdmi over cat 5 adapters fairly cheap but work fine as a couple of mates have them for just this reason.

a no, with permament timeshift your wd will see whats on the harddrive in real time (a think) but for changing chs you will have 2 use web control. start a recording and while its recording you can watch whats been recorded on wd so havin time shift enabled keeps the harddrive active. i am no expert this is just my opinion. why not give it a try

I would like to thank everyone for thier input including the pm's i had on this. You know who you are

. No h d but otherwise a great way to stream to a bedroom
