Using Mgcamd instead of CCcam

    Using Mgcamd instead of CCcam

    i have been told that Using Mgcamdis better than cccam, but how do i use it instead?

    is there a tuturial anywhere that i can use? or should i stick to cccam?

    i have already installed mgcamd on my dm800 but havnt got a clue what to do with it haha

    Hi, for mgcamd it has to be in cws = format and you have to paste into /var/keys/newcamd.list.

    For the cccam, you paste your line into /var/etc/cccam.cfg.

      Where do i get a blank newcamd.list?
      as i dont have anything in that folder to edit

        After a restart the files are there. If not it doesn't matt. Just create a blank one.

          You'll need to get confirmation that the provider supports mgcamd/newcamd format.

          As above create your newcamd.list file then on your box you need to get into the cam menu and select mgcamd as the cam that you want to run by default.
