DM 8000 will not start up with hdd

Hi guys,

need a bit of a advice...have dm8000 hd,installed a hard drive into it and now it will not start,but if i`ll disconnect it it will power up no probs.Tried to re flash image ...but still no joy.Using newnigma2 v3.2.2 image.Have to mention that tried a hdd in it before had some info on it and when connected it worked no hass but asked me to format it in order to initialize the hdd so got a brand new blank hdd and it will not start with it or even now with the one that has info on it? any ideas??

Is the hard drive an external one?
Just a thought i wonder if you have a crappy psu(power supply) and when the ext hd is plugged in its draining the psu,just a thought.

.....got it going...the new hdd that i bought is no good...tried to connect the old one with some info again and bingo!! back on
