BL82 is the latest bootloader so you would probably say BL82 is best.

How would I check on the box which bootloader it has? Also, if I get the 76, would it affect the performance in anyway, would there be glitches on hd channels?

switch your box off then on and your box should say which BL its using on the oled screen, as for glitching on hd channels the bootloader has nothing to do with the tuner and is just a second stage loader because its a clone using a official dmm image and without it your box wont boot properly. regards mdt

Thanks, is the bootloader a software thing or hardware, can I ammend my bootloader to the latest one?

most new images have the bootloader built in so as long as you use the correct patched image for your sim card then you will be ok, just take your time and double check everything before upgrading your stb. regards mdt

Thanks for the reply, when I got it, it had BL82 on it, I flashed it with a wrong image and got the CA error, but I've mananged to overcome the CA error and installed Blackhole v0.12 on it. Now when it boots on on the OLED display it says BL72.

How do I change it to BL82? Just to confirm BL82 doesn't have anything that BL72 has, I don't want to be missing out on anything.

the latest bootloader always has the latest drivers that have been released by dream but have been patched to work on clones. The latest bootloader will have the latest configurations and drivers, which is always good!!!

what sim card have you got?, which img are you currently using? you could just flash your box with a recent image with the latest bootloader included if you wanted. only use this bootloader if you have a SIM 2.01 smartcard "be carefull" regards mdt

From the listing I purchased this box it says sim 2.0.1, how do I put this on my box btw?

Also, I'm using blackhole v0.12, which latest image has bl82?

you put the ssl file on your box the same way as a image via your browser. ive just had a quick look around and i dont think anybody(mfaraj57/ramiMAHER/ect) have updated that perticular image with the latest bootloader although im probably wrong. although i own 5 different linux stb,s i am very new to e2 myself and have a great deal more to learn. regards mdt

thanks m8 but i tryed this image reley nice one of my fav but i could not get pay hd channels i was told this image got som bugs its beta
