flash dm 8000 clone

I?ve been reading around quite a bit and am still uncertain as to whether the procedure for flashing a clone dm 8000 is the same as the one for flashing the dm 800 clone.
I?m waiting for my box to arrive from China. Don?t know what bootloader or image it will have.
I?m new to the dreambox world and I would appreciate directions towards some essential reading as regards the dm 8000 clone.

hi i am also waiting for a clone dreambox dm800 from china :boot82, gemi5.1, sim2.01, fan on the heat sink, tunner alps M latest version .
Once i receive it do i have flash /update sofware??? or do anything else ...this is my first dreambox so newbie ....
