Depends on what image your using and its yes to 2 of your questions not sure about bbciplayer though.
Loads of info on here if you search mate about internal and ext hard drives but cant be answered in one post so try and search a little and post back.

      Hi mate
Youtube dose'nt work on all images.
No you will not get iplayer.
Yes you can fit a hdd, remove the caseing, and use the the sata connector that came with your dm800. Just unplug the external sata connector and plug in your new hdd.
      then initialise it.

      good luck mate

            Thanks 00360362878,

I guess i need a 2.5" HDD to put inside right?

Also, at the moment, i only watch TV on there, and have the iphone app, what else is there to this box? I would like to learn a few things about it.

Lastly, it comes up with blackhole. Does that sound right? :S

            Thanks once again,

            Sam

Only bought it a month or so ago. i have took a pic and have attached it of the box i got it in as it has all the features on it.

                Got the USB working, woo.

Is it worth creating a swap file on the USB or shal i do it on the HDD when i get it?

                  What I meant was.
Is it a dm800hd pro, sim 2.01 with 801A tuner.
Or is it a older version, this is the info needed to be able to reflash if necessary, with the correct image for you sim.
There is a lot to read up on to get the best from the box.

Now how do i find out all that info?

                    What would a reflash do?

would a reflash wipe the server which is currently on it?

Where can i go to read up on it? I really want to know alot more to the box.

                    Thanks,

                    Sam.

                      Lot to answer there mate.
You need to remove the case.

The main thing is, you need to determine what sim is in the box, it is located between the tuner and the lcd search this forum.
there is a post somewhere with images attached of the different sim versions.

Should say on the tuner what it is.

Regards flashing images, have a look on the dreamOEM forum. There are pleanty of images there.
Personaly I use the openpli ssl82, from there, and everything works great.

I suggest you dont rush into that untill you are 100% sure you are going to flash the correct image for your sim version.

read all the stickie threads at the top, there are some good guides there mate.

                      good luck

                          Dont know mate.
But it might be a good idea to backup your settings to usb via software manager.
