hello i am trying to record football matches and put them on my computer for personal use. how do i go about doing this? ive already set up USB recording but when i put the usb in the computer it says the disk needs to be formatted

if theres not a movie folder in media/hdd it wont work
ftp send a file from your pc to your dreambox
you can use dreambox control center to ftp

Finally got it work after I flashed to a new sg image. Just need to ftp to my 800c box and create a movie folder in the hdd and wala! I can do timeshift and recording

HD DISK Dreambox DM 800 HD PVR

1. I have connected an internal SATA 2.5" drive to my Dream box DM 800 HD PVR. I was able to initialize (format) and mount the hard disk. When I go to the recording paths (in setup menu) and select my Western Digital 500 GB SATA drive this message appears, " the hard disk is not writable, try connecting a writable HDDISK".

2. At first I was able to select my hard disk in recording paths menu but after 2~3 formats (initialize) my mount path for HDDISK disappeared from the recording paths menu.

Should I buy an eSATA Dock to connect it externally or format it on fat32

Solution anyone?
