dm800 no channels at all..

could someone please save my sanity before i jump in front of a bus..!!!! i've trying to setup my new dm800 for a few days now. problem is after running through initial wizard there are no channels found. now surely some fta channel should come up.? I've tried uploading channel lists into the box and scanned but nothing. I am on 28.2 sly uk with a single satelite (not motorised). i have tried various settings but to no avail.

I have noticed that when navigating through the menus the box "locks up" for a bit. this frequently happens with a green screen with a software error, forcing a reboot on the box..

i suspect a faulty box, however as im new to the 800 ( used to the dm500 ) i probably am overlooking something. a point in the right direction would certainly help..

Have you configured the tuner for 28.2 mate?
Btw. The green screens don't sound healthy. Maybe reflashing may help. Although if you bought it from UK I would explain the issue to the seller before flashing, as a dodgy seller may blame the reflash procedure. Anyway 1st make sure tuner is configured for 28.2

You do need to set the tuner up for 28.2E as stated above, the other thing worth noting is that if the sat cable isn't plugged in when the box boots then certainly for me with the latest OpenPLi image you can configure away to your hearts content but you'll get no picture till a reboot.
