Using a Dreambox 800HD and BT Vision

Hi when I move I am thinking about getting BT Vision back used to have it and think it wins hands down on On Demand content over Sky and VM.

I currently use my 800HD for Sky UK and would be wanting to use these alongside each other so would have all the channels plus a good range of On Demand content as well.

The internet speed i should expect at my new address is between 8.5MB and 12.5MB.

    Will this work?

Can't see any reason why it wouldn't, I assume you've got the DM800HD configured so that it needs and internet connection in which any old internet connection will do. Not used BT Vision my self but the only thing that you may need to check is what sort of upload/upstream demand does it place as for me personally I can be maxing out my download and it doesn't affect my DM800HD but upload anything and things start to get cold and freezing

thanks for your reply mate. bt provide your vision service with its own connection so that it does not effect the rest of your internet/ upload/ download usage.

had bt vision a few years back and was very impressed with it has much more content than sky and vm and thats going by btv a few years back. also it doesnt have cheap looking screens like what i found with vm.

But think it would be good to have it alongside my dreambox so i would have the channels plus a on demand service. and for ?12 more than what id be paying for line and broadband for the full package it does seem even more like a nice idea.
