help setting up my dreambox 800sehd

hi everyone could anybody help me set up my ccam i have downloaded 2.0.11 and put it in var/bin file but nothing happening this is my first dreambox 800sehd i had a 500s before , the box came with darkhole image on it ? will it already have a cccam in it help please

blue button select cam left or right and turn on

when i press the blue button i get 1. gp3 flashbackup 2. genuine dreambox. 3. graphical epg 4. my tubeplayer

I don't think you can just download it and put it in var/bin, you will need to install the whole package, i'm not sure on the blackhole image there is a manual install option.

You would be better installing TS Panel, then you will get all the cam's etc you need in that, maybe you will need to install it by telnet, but i don't know the comand's for that.

did you activate the file after you put it into var/bin ? ,go to var/bin and click on the file once to highlight it and then right click on the file ,you should see options such as edit/view/delete /attributes click on attributes and then click on 755 to activate the file exit and save and reboot your box ,now when the box is rebooting look at the tv screen does it say starting cccam ?.

installing cccam that way may not give you a cccam.cfg file (normally when installling cccam you would automaticly get a cccam.cfg file in var/etc ) look in var etc and if you dont see cccam.cfg you will need to download one and put it into var/etc ,you can download a cccam.cfg file from the last link in my signature area .once the cam is installed and you have a cccam.cfg you will need to edit that file but thats not some thing we can discuss on the open forum .

what blackhole image do you have ? is it dream elite or nabilo ,if its dream elite you wont be able to install cccam with your remote control but you should be able to if its nabilo .

if its dream elite you will need to manually install cccam (but you can manually install on nabilo also ) you need a cccam.tar.gz file suitable for use with dream elite image (if thats what you have ) and of course it must be E2 (enigma 2 ) and the file goes in the tmp/ folder in your dreambox and then you go to the manual install panel on your dreambox and select the file and install it . here is a link where you can download the file
