Decent image for 800HD Pro

tried again and it worked this time - now to try and get the EPG working!

Menu --> Plugins --> TSPanel --> Addons --> Dreambox Addons --> TSPanel 3.1 (Update this first)

Then:

Menu --> Plugins --> TSPanel --> Addons --> Dreambox Addons --> Plugins --> Crossepg-oe1.6_0.6.2-svn-305 (or newer if available)

Then:

Menu --> Setup --> CrossEPG --> configure (mainly defaults but can put epg on usb or hard drive).

Then:

Menu --> Setup --> CrossEPG --> XMLTV Providers --> select rytec UK xmltv then download.

There might be a step I've missed but I'm sure this is what I did to set it all up Enjoy!

thanks i'll give it a try - can it be set up to automatically download the rytec EPG every night, or can this only be done manually as you've described here?

Followed your instructions and got the cross EPG installed OK, but the Rytec UK doesnt populate any of my channels with info? any ideas????

post 45 worked for me and is updating fine , 7 days yesterday checked again today and still 7 days so it updates fine

That's strange it definitely did work straight away for me but maybe you need to go into the crossepg config and down near the bottom there's a convert database option so maybe it just never ran that bit? The only other thing I can think is to reboot your box then try the download again and see how it goes?

I've had issues on other images with it not population the epg but with newnigma it just worked straight away!

rebooted the box and downloaded again as suggested in the previous post

after loads of messing about i found the newnigma2 out of downloads is very good image. for epg on this image i get full 7 days.

iv tryed about 9 images and i just like this 1, spent most of a sunday swaping images.

here is how i did it. i flashed my box with newnigma2 out of downloads, i had to set the av using the display on the front of box.

after all usual set up ie. putting on 2.2.1 cccam and tuner set up ect.
you have the box working you now need to download crossepg. so press blue button and select tspanel and download crossepg. then re start your box. now go to menu, steup, crossepg, configure, set storage to harddisk, turn all the other answers to yes, schedualed downlod to once a day, now set a time good for your box to do epg download. mine is set for 7.30am then press red to come out. now go to xmltv providers. pick what epg you want my epgrytec uk xmltv. now go to update rytec providers selsct and this will auto update providers, now exit out of the cross epg. now go to plugins and select crossepg downloader, this will download all epg. re start the box and you have full 7 days epg. please note this has to have harddrive of some sort for this to work. this image is for clone sim 201 make sure the image you flash is for your box. the image is in downloads at top of this page
every thing you need is on this site to get up and working.
i think the image looks really good and it stable.
but as the images are patched for clones please dont update the firmware, when you asked just say no or the box will stop working and will req a re flash.

how do i mount the usb stick in the box ? do i just plug it in ? after i plugged it in, it gave me the option to choose 'harddisk' in the epg config, but i dont know if its working or not, as i couldnt get epg to run really :/ im now having problems how to turn the subtitles off :/

i think i'll just start fresh and flash the box again.
